Published On : 15 Nov 2017   |  Reported By : canaranews network

Mangaluru: The DK district administration on Tuesday asked farmers to use the Farmers’ Crop Survey app to feed details of crops raised on their fields into government revenue records. DK DC Sasikanth Senthil told media that the app, available on Google Play Store, would thus eliminate delay in uploading details of crops in the Record of Tenancy Certificate (RTC) thereby helping expedite release of compensation/ insurance amount in the event of crop loss.

The district has about 9 lakh plots of which the the Revenue Department has already surveyed about 5 lakh plots and updated the same in the system. The process of uploading crop details is made simple and with the advancement of technology, farmers might not feel it difficult to do the job.

A farmer needs to have an Android smart phone with Version 4.5 or more to upload the details after downloading the app from Google Play Store.
