Father Muller Medical College Hospital celebrates International Nurses day

Mangaluru: International Nurses day was celebrated at Father Muller Medical College Hospital, in the city on May 12 with pomp and gaiety.

The day started with a Eucharistic celebration. Fr Richard Coelho was the main celebrant and Fr Ajith preached a meaningful homily highlighting the role of nurses in unison with the Father in heaven and with their colleagues for a single purpose as well as unity with the patients in their sensitivity.

At the formal programme, the prncipal of Sahyadri College of Nursing was the chief guest. She appreciated the nurses for being at the bedside of the patients providing dedicated service. Cheriyol K Nair was the veteran nurse honoured for 32 years of yeoman service at the institute. She asked the nurses to take CASH: confidence, alertness, sincerity and hardwork in their life's journey as a nurse.

Fr Richard Coelho was the president of the programme. Sr Aileen Mathias chief nursing officer welcomed the gathering, Rudresh B R presented the activities of the nurses' week and Mary Lasrado proposed the vote of thanks.
