Kundapur, May 24: On Sunday people from Fatima ward of Kundapur Holy Rosary church celebrated a fest in respect of their ward’s guardian Mother Fatima. In the morning the devotees offered the holy mass with Parish priest Rev. Fr. Anil D,souza and Decon Roshan D’souza.
A get-together was held at Leonella Crasto’s home. In this gathering, more than 130 people participated and created a record.
Rev.Fr. Anil D’souza said “Fatima ward is a ward of the talented. By celebrating theward fest, the love and unity between people will increase. This ward’s people are at the forefront to become priests and sisters” .
Parish Priest Rev. Fr. Paul Prakash expressed his joy saying “to boost love and unity among the ward people, I have tried to celebrate the ward fest and it is successful today”.
During the occasion a sports contest was held for everyone. Sister Presilda, Managing Committee Vice President Johnson Almeida, Secretary Feliciana D,souza, Gurkar William D’souza, Secretary Elizabeth D’souza, Representative Stany Olivera and Liyonilla Crasto distributed the prizes to winner.
Children exhibited a dance. A short-play “Bhurgyancho Mogh” written and directed by Bernard J Costa was appreciated by everybody.
Vanitha Baretto-read the report, Vinaya D’costa compered the programme, Asmitha Corea conducted the games, Vinod Crasto welcomed the gathering, Victor D’souza proposed the vote of thanks. Later, all received a meal.
