Fisherman dies in sea

Kundapur: A fisherman drowned when he slipped and fell into the sea at Korwady in Kumbhashi village on Tuesday. The deceased is Jaya Kundar, 44. He had gone for fishing with two others. They began early in the day from Malpe..

When they were laying the fishing net in the sea, the boat shook. As a result, Jaya lost his balance and fell into the sea and drowned. As the sea was rough, the others could do little to save Jaya. The boat was in the sea for about an hour before it returned to the shore.

A case of unnatural death had been registered at the Kundapur police station.
