Forest minister Ramanath Rai cancels speech due to honey bees

Belgaum: Minister Ramanath Rai had to make a quick dash covering his face after they came under sudden attack by a swarm of honey bees at the inauguration of Bio Park at Macche village on Friday.

He along with other forest department officials ran due to sudden attack by a swarm of honey bees. The attack of the bees took place when the minster was about to address the gathering after the inauguration.

Stung by the bees on the face, Rai left without speaking on the occasion. School students who had gathered had to run for their lives in the park.

The person arranging the sound system was attacked by bees and had to be rushed to a nearby hospital. He is said to be fine now.
