Four arrested in chain snatching incidents

Bantwal: Four persons have been arrested in connection with chain snatching cases by Bantwal rural police. Two bikes and jewellery worth Rs 2 lacs were recovered from them.

The arrested are Numan (20), son of Balluru Gudde resident Bashir, Shabaz (19), son of Kannur Beedu resident Abdul Kareem; Shabaz (20), son of Kannur Kundala resident Badruddin and Thousif (23), son of Pudu grama Kumpanamajalu resident Abdul Lathif.

The suspects had stolen Pulsar bikes from Adyar padavu and near Kannur check post and were using those bikes for snatching the chains. Rural police were conducting vehicle inspection in Benjanapadavu this morning, October 1 and arrested Nujman and Thousif who came in bikes. In the operation conducted on the basis of information obtained from them, the police have arrested two more suspects.
