Four killed in accident at Chittoor

Kasargod: In a tragic incident, four persons including three members of a family from Kasargod were killed and five others sustained injuries in a collision between a private bus and a car at Chittoor in Andhra Pradesh .

The accident occurred at around 3.30 am when the family from Kasargod was on way to Tirupathi after visiting their ancestral home at Madhur Pallikodu for a religious function. The deceased are Pakeera Gatti (72), his brother Manjappa Gatti (62), Manjappa’s wife Sundari (55) and Sadashiva (55) of Manippady. Pakeera’s wife is among the injured.

The SRS Travels bus driver whose attention got diverted, lost control, and rammed into the car traveling in the opposite direction. A total of nine persons, all relatives were travelling in the car.
