Fresher's Day at St. Mary's PU College - Educate yourself and make your life successful: Fr John Alfred Barboza

Kundapur, June 18: ‘Highest marks and grades are not a measurement for education. Preparing children for the future and to teach them good manners is a real education. Our institution provides such education. Everyone should get this kind of education to become successful in life.” Rev Fr John Alfred Barboza said these words while inaugurating the academic year of St. Mary’s P.U.College, Kundapur. He was the chief guest of the programme and he was honoured on behalf of the college.

 

Rev. Fr. Anil D’souza – the convenor of Kundapura Church Education Institution, Kundapura zone inaugurated the college magazine, ‘Blossom’ and said that in our institutions we have good teachers and day by day our college is achieving more and more. The performance of our college was better among other catholic institutions in Udupi. He cordially welcomed the students who joined this year.

Mable Futardo – the manager of Kundapura Rosary Society was present as the guest and she wished good luck to the students.  Rev. Fr. Praveen Amruth Martis – the Principal explained the rules, regulations and achievements of college through demonstration. He said ‘we all should live with intimacy as if we belong to one religion’.

Dance and feedback program were conducted by students. Vice Principal Manjula Nair welcomed the gathering. Professor Joylin Salins rendered vote of thanks. Ms. Laura Liza Menezes compered the programme.
