Guest Lecture on ‘Significance of Sanskrit Language’ held at St Philomena College Puttur

Puttur: The Department of Sanskrit of St Philomena College Puttur organized a guest lecture on ‘Significance of Sanskrit Language’ on September 25, 2017 in Spandana Seminar Hall.

The former Head Master and Sanskrit Teacher of Navodaya High School Bettampady Mr. Venkataramana Bhat participated as the resource person. He said,’ Sanskrit is the most ancient and perfect among the great languages of the world. It is recognized as the mother of Indian languages. In this modern age, Sanskrit is being treated as one of the scientific languages of the world.’

The Principal Prof. Leo Noronha in his presidential address said, ‘India has rich cultural heritage. It is because of Sanskrit language. Many western scholars visit to our country and explore the richness of this language.’

The HoD of the Department delivered introductory speech.

Ms. Nireeksha and group presented the prayer song. Mr. Vinay welcomed the gathering. Ms. Deekshitha proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Rachana N R compered the programme.
