Help India Foundation holds career guidance camp for students

Mangaluru: “Parents have the responsibility to brighten up the future of children. Even if we are born poor, it is a grave error to die as poor”, said Karnataka state minister of health and family welfare, U T Khader. He was speaking in a career guidance camp 'What after SSLC and PUC' held by Help India Foundation, Thokkottu at Thokkottu Unity auditorium on April 19.

Deputy director of Public Instruction Walter H D' Mello who inaugurated the programme after watering a plant said that the future of children should not get stuck in stress. “It should be free and independent. Professional institutes in the district are competing for excellence and are suitable for students to obtain the education according to their needs. The guidance camp held by Help India Foundation in this regard will be useful”, he said.

The camp was conducted by Career Guidance and Information Center founder Umar U H. More than 500 students were present. Well ordered counters were created to provide information on courses available in different institutes. P A College of Engineering, Bearys Institute of Technology, Sahyadri College of Engineering, Baraka International School, H H International school, Mangaluru university college and Karnataka Polytechnic had participated.

Dr Hansraj Alva, Manjunatha Revankar, Foundation founder secretary Abdul Razak Ullal, Treasurer Abdul Khader Bava and Vice president Umar Farook Patla were on the dais. Help India Foundation founder president Nasir Moidin presided. The programme started after patriotic songs by Surekha and Fevisha. Thokkottu unit secretary Shakil Thumbeja welcomed and compered the programme. Press secretary Zakir Hussain Chayabba gave a key note address. Thokkottu unit president Thousif Ahmed proposed Vote of thanks.
