Holy Rosary Church celebrated Catechism Day

Kundapur: Feb 28: Catechism Day was celebrated at Our Lady of Holy Rosary Church Kundapur.

The parish priest of Kundapur Church Rev Fr Anil D’souza presided over the function and gave a message saying, “We build big buildings and put a strong foundation. In the same way our children should be taught the moral values of Christ to make their life fruitful. Elders should become a role model to the children by following Christ’s principles.”

 

Rev Fr Prakash Lobo was the chief guest of the programme and he offered the Holy Mass and gave sermon.

Rev Fr Praveen Amrit Martis, Rev Fr Paul Prakash, Sister Marris, Vice President of the church board Johnson Almeida, Secretary Felcian Dsouza, the convener of catechism teachers Shanti Baretto, the teacher Shaila Almeida distributed prizes to the best achievers in catechism studying in 1st standard to PUC.

A quiz competition of Church bulletin Rosarium was held in the sponsorship of Canara news. And the prizes were distributed by Bernard J Costa-the representative of Canara News.

The teachers teaching moral science were honored. The children of all the classes gave programmes like dance, skit and singing.
