Home alone old woman found dead

Mangaluru: A body of woman was found in a decomposed state on Saturday, April 16 in a house at Kolya near Ullal. The deceased has been identified as Pushpavathi Jathanna (73).

Pushpavathi worked as a nurse before. She had been living in Kolya for the past 30 years, and for the past 20 years she lived alone. She was the mother of two sons and two daughters.

Pushpavathi’s grandson from Honnavar was trying to contact her over the phone from two days, but there was no reply. So he came down to Kolya on Saturday evening, only to find Pushpavathi dead. Pushpavathi must have died of heart attack or as a consequence of falling down on the floor.

Ullal police have registered a case.
