ICYM Borimar Unit organizes Diocesan Level Mega Quiz Contest – 2019

ICYM Borimar Unit organised Diocesan Level Mega Quiz Contest - 2019 on the occasion of its post centenary silver jubilee celebration. St. Joseph Church, Borimar which was established in the year 1893 has completed its 125 years of celebration. Rev. Fr Gregory Pereira - Parish Priest, St. Joseph Church, Borimar, Jaison Leroy Pereira – President, Fevisha Monteiro – Secretery, ICYM Central Council, Mangalore Diocese, Sr. Martinal – Superior, Jeevan Nilaya Convent, Preethi Pereira – Secretery, Borimar Parish Pastoral Council, Rita Moras - ICYM Animator, Anil Sequeira – President, Joslin Pinto - Joint Secretery, ICYM Borimar Unit were present on the occasion.

The programme was inaugurated by Rev. Fr Gregory Pereira - Parish Priest and Director - ICYM Borimar Unit. Rev. Fr Gregory Pereira addressed the gathering with a very good message to all the youth to read books and enhance the knowledge. Jaison Leroy Periera congratulated ICYM Borimar Unit for organizing this programme. During the occasion, Fevisha Monterio - ICYM Diocesan Secretary’s Birthday was celebrated by cutting the cake. Many teams from Mangalore Diocese took part in the quiz contest. The first place was bagged by Team Urwa with the cash prize of Rs 12000, Second place was bagged by Team Vamadapadav with the cash prize of Rs 8000 and the Third place was bagged by Team Gantalkatte with the cash prize of Rs 5000.

A fun photo contest was organised for the participants. Sumptuous lunch was served to all in the noon. The event held with a great success and it was a first mega quiz contest conducted in Mangalore Diocese.
