ICYM - Episcopal City Deanery organizes “ ECD YOUTH MELANGE ”

With great Zeal and Enthusiasm ICYM - Episcopal City Deanery organized “ ECD YOUTH MELANGE ” a half day youth gathering programme on 29th July 2018 from 9:30 AM to 1:00 PM at St. Vincent Ferrer Church Conference Hall. The programme commenced with a prayer song led by the youth. Chief Guest - Episcopal City Deanery Vicar Forane - V. Rev. Fr. J. B Crasta, President of the programme - Rev. Fr. James Dsouza – Parish Priest, St. Vincent Ferrer Church, Valencia, Rev. Fr. Clifford Fernandes – Director, ICYM - Episcopal City Deanery, Mr. Jaison Leroy Periera, Shirthady – President, ICYM Mangalore Diocese, Mr. Adrian Dsouza, Manjeshwar - Diocesan Nominated Member for ICYM Episcopal City Deanery, Ms. Viyolla Dsilva, Jeppu – President and Ms. Vishma Dcunha, Cascia – Secretary, ICYM Episcopal City Deanery were present on the dais.

 

ICYM - Episcopal City Deanery President – Ms. Viyolla Dsilva welcomed the gathering. ICYM - Episcopal City Deanery Secretary - Ms. Vishma Dcunha read out the Annual Report of the Year 2017 – 2018 as well read out the Annual plans for the year 2018 – 2019. “ ECD YOUTH MELANGE ” was inaugurated in a very innovative way by V. Rev. Fr. J. B Crasta along with Rev. Fr. James Dsouza and other dignitaries on the dias . V. Rev. Fr. J. B Crasta appreciated all the youth in his address and encouraged them to take active participation in the Deanery and wished a great success to this event, Rev. Fr. James Dsouza and Rev. Fr. Clifford Fernandes in their address they encouraged the youth to have a positive thought in all that they do and wished a great success for this event. ICYM Episcopal City Deanery Executive Members of the year 2017 – 2018 as well Executive and Council Members of the year 2018 - 2019 were honoured during the programme. ICYM Diocesan Treasurer Mr. Jovel Fernandes, Naravi and Mr. Elroy Patrick Saldanha, Omzoor – Immediate Past President – ICYM Mangalore Diocese were also present for the inaugural programme. Host President – Mr. Relston Lobo, Valencia proposed the vote of thanks.

Mr. Jaison Leroy Periera, Mr. Jovel Fernandes, Mr. Elroy Patrick Saldanha and Ms. Minol conducted the ice breaker session followed by innovative games and activities. Rev. Fr. Rajesh Melvin gave an inspirational talk on Family and Stress Management. The Holy Eucharistic Celebration was celebrated for the youth by Rev. Fr. Rajesh Melvin. Rev. Fr. Ronald Prakash Dsouza, Ajekar – Director, ICYM Mangalore Diocese paid a visit to the programme and wished all the very best for the year 2018 - 2019. ICYM Unit Directors and Animators of Episcopal City Deanery parishes had paid a visit to the programme. ICYM Valencia Unit bagged “ ECD YOUTH MELANGE ” trophy for the Maximum No of participants from their Unit. The programme incharge was given to Jeppu, Valencia and Bendur Parish. A Total of 100 youth were present for the programme. Mr. Leon Loyd Saldanha compered the programme. The programme concluded with a sumptuous meal. On the whole, “ ECD YOUTH MELANGE ” was a combination of fun, knowledge and entertainment. It was fun-filled day for all the youths of ICYM Episcopal City Deanery and a day to remember.
