ICYM Kadaba Unit organizes Green Eyes – 2018

ICYM Kadaba Unit organized Green Eyes – 2K18 programme on the occasion of St. Joachim’s Feast on Thursday, 26th July 2018 after the feast mass at St. Joachim Church Hall, Kadaba. Mr. Frayal Gladson Cross – President, ICYM Kadaba Unit welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. Ronald Lobo – Parish Priest, St. Joachim Church, Kadaba presided and inaugurated the programme by planting a sapling in a pot as a symbolic way along with the Chief Guests Rev. Fr. Vincent Dsouza – Parish Priest, Infant Jesus Church, Nellyadi and Principal – St. Joachim’s Educational Institution.

Rev. Fr. Anil Roshan Lobo - Parish Priest, St. Rita Church, Panja, Mr. Louis Mascarenhas – Vice - President and Mrs. Jacintha Veigas – Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council, St. Joachim Church, Kadaba, Mr. Aneesh Lobo, Kadaba – Joint Secretary, ICYM Central Council Mangalore Diocese, Mr. James Crishal Dsouza – President, ICYM Puttur Deanery were the guests on the dias. All the guests addressed the gathering about the important values of Vanamahotsava, Drishti (Eye Donation) and Red Drop Campaign (Voluntarily Blood Donation).

On behalf of Vanamahotsava celebration, Saplings were distributed one each to all the parishioners as a Grow Green initiative – Each One Plant One. On this auspicious day, Awareness drive on Red Drop Campaign and Drishti Project was organized for the parishioners to give insight about Voluntarily Blood Donation and Eye Donation. Majority of the parishioners agreed to pledge for Eye Donation and even to donate blood on regular basis. Thus, Green Eyes – 2K18 was a successful programme. Ms. Reshma Dsouza – ICYM Member proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Roviena Periera – Immediate Past President, ICYM Kadaba Unit compered the programme.
