ICYM Madanthyar Unit celebrated Green Day - 2018 at Sacred Heart Church Premises, Madanthyar on Sunday, 22nd July 2018. Fr Alwin Dsouza - Assistant Parish Priest, Sacred Heart Church and Assistant Director - ICYM Madanthyar Unit, Fr. Jerome Dsouza – Principal, Sacred Heart PU College, Madanthyar, Vice President and Secretary - Parish Pastoral Council, President and Secretary - ICYM Madanthyar Unit were present on the dais.

The programme was inaugurated by releasing of handbags madeout of cloth. ” A message on eco-friendly practices and reduce usage of Plastic bags” was delivered by Fr Jerome Dsouza. Soon after the inaugral programme, Saplings were planted around the church premises by the youth and the parishioners with respect to their wards.

The monsoon food ‘patrade’, ‘valchebaji mutlim’, ‘patholi’ was prepared by the youth which increased the attraction of the programme. The cloth handbags were distributed to each family. About 50 youth were present for this programme. Mr Tyson Dcunha compered the programme.
