ICYM Pezar Deanery organises Yuva Nadar 2018

ICYM Pezar Deanery in collaboration with Pompei Youngster's Club Gurpur ( ICYM) organised Yuva Nadar 2K18 a youth gathering programme for the youth of pezar deanery on 12 August 2018 at Gurpur church hall.

Rev. Fr. Antony Lobo Parish Priest Our Lady of Pompei Church Gurpur was the President for the programme. Rev. Fr. Ashwin Cardoza Assistant Director ICYM Mangalore Diocese was the Chief guest along with Rev. Fr. Edwin Correa Director ICYM Pezar Deanery, Preema Pinto Lady Vice President ICYM Central Council, Richard Fernandes Vice President and Jerald Lobo Secretary Parish Pastoral Council Gurpur church as the dignitaries for the inaugural function . Ajith Pinto President ICYM Pezar Deanery welcomed the gathering.

The programme was inaugurated by planting a sapling in a pot by the guest. Reena Crasta Secretary PYC proposed the vote of thanks. Rev. Fr Ashwin Cardoza was the Resource person who enlightened the youth on various issue like how youths should grab the opportunity when they get it. Holy Eucharistic celebration was celebrated by Rev. Fr. Anil Avild Lobo Rector Degree Seminary. Elroy Saldanha Ex-President ICYM Central Council conducted innovative games for the youth. Jaison Shirthady President ICYM Central Council explained about Red Drop, Grow Green and Drishti Campaign.

Rev. Fr. Edwin Correa Director ICYM Pezar Deanery, Ancita Dsouza Vice President Karnataka Regional Youth Commission, Anish Lobo Joint Secretary ICYM Central Council, Asha Cutino Nominated Member and Amcho Yuvak Representative ICYM Central council were the dignitaries for the concluding progrmme. Dishanth President PYC welcomed the gathering.

Prizes were distributed to the winners of group activities and the unit that had registered the highest number of participants and honoured the sponsors by giving mementos as a token of love and respect. Jute bags and saplings were given to all the guest as a symbol of Beat Plastic pollution. Melroy Dsouza Secretary ICYM Pezar Deanery proposed the vote of thanks. The programme was compered by Jenevia Sequiera and Reena Crasta. A total of 105 youths from 6 parish units took active part in this programme.
