ICYM Valencia Unit celebrates Vanamahotsava - 2018

Mangaluru: ICYM Valencia Unit celebrated "Vanamahotsava – 2K18" on Sunday July 15th 2018 at 9:00AM in St. Vincent Ferrar Church, Valencia. This programme was a support to the initiative taken by ICYM Central Council, Mangalore Diocese with the theme “ Grow Green - Each One Plant One ”. Rev. Fr. James DSouza - Parish Priest, St. Vincent Ferrar Church, Valencia presided over the programme along with Rev. Fr. Joswin DSouza - Assistant Parish Priest, Rev. Fr Arun Lobo - Resident Priest, Mr. Anil Lobo - Vice – President and Mrs. Lizzie Pinto – Secretary, Parish Pastoral Council, ICYM Unit Members and all the parishioners were present for the programme.

ICYM Valencia Unit President Mr. Relston Lobo welcomed the gathering. Rev. Fr. James DSouza addressed the gathering on the importance of growing trees and the steps that could be taken to nurture the plants and trees of our surroundings. ICYM Valencia Unit Former Secretary Ms. Jovita Rebello delivered the Vote of thanks.

After the short formal programme, ICYM members, priests and the parishioners proceeded towards the church cemetery and planted 30 saplings.
