The Press meet held at Our Lady of Health Minor Basilica , Harihar.Most Rev. Dr. Francis Serrao SJ (Bishop of Shimoga) gave the keynote address.
Fr Veeresh explained what it means to be a Minor Basilica and the importance of this historical event of Proclamation and inauguration of the Minor Basilica. This important event will be held on Wednesday, 15 January 2020 at 9 am. All arrangements are made for the programme.
Rev. Dr Anthony Peter (Rector of the Minor Basilica) thanked each and everyone present in the press meet.
This Historic event will be witnessed by Sri B.S. Yediyurappa, Honourable Chief Minister of Karnataka, President of the Conference of Catholic Bishops of India Most Rev.Dr Filipe Neri Ferrao, Dr Sri Shivamurthy Murugha Sharanaru of Chitradurga Murugha Math, Our Archbishop Most Rev. Dr Peter Machado and 13 other Bishops, political leaders and large number of lay faithful from all over Karnataka and beyond.
Fr Veeresh welcomed the gathering.
