Infant Mary Church holds unique grotto making competition

Mangaluru: Infant Mary Church organised a unique ‘Grotto making competition’ on the occasion of Independence Day and the Assumption of Mary feast at Infant Mary Church.

 

Parish priest Fr Ivan D’Souza, assistant parish priest Fr Patrick Lobo, parish council vice president Joseph Mascarenhas and secretary Irene Pinto were present. The real success behind this competition was the enthusiasm of the participants. Nine wards took part in the competition and showcased their creative ideas and prepared lovely grottos. All the items captured the attention of the parishioners.

Fr Jawahar Cutinho and Fr Anil Lobo judged the competition. Meena Pinto compered the programme. Victor Pinto rendered the vote of thanks.

Vailankanni ward bagged the first place followed by Carmel ward and Little Flower ward winning the second and third place respectively.
