Intensive Care Unit facility at KMC Hospital Manipal expanded

Manipal: The Intensive Care Unit facility at Kasturba Hospital, Manipal was expanded with additional waiting area which inaugurated by Dr. H. Vinod Bhat, Vice Chancellor, Manipal University on Thursday, 30th March, 2016.

With 94 beds in the ICU’s at Trauma and Emergency Block, the need for more place for care givers of patients was felt and therefore a comfortable area was created. The ICU’s at Kasturba Hospital is very busy with patients. A number of outstation patients are also admitted to the ICU and some of them in critical condition which calls for close monitoring by the hospital staff and support from the relatives and friends. The additional space created will enable attendants to be around and accessible for the needs while the consultants and support staff deliver best care to the patients.

The additional waiting area at the Intensive Care Unit facility at Trauma and Emergency Block Kasturba Hospital Manipal was inaugurated By Dr H Vinod Bhat, Vice Chancellor, Manipal University on Thursday. Dr Padmaraj Hegde Medical Superintendent and other dignitaries were present.

The Trauma and Emergency Wing of Kasturba Hospital Manipal is known for the compassionate services it renders to all categories of patients.
