International Day against Drug Abuse

Puttur: Inorder to mark the International Day against Drug Abuse Dharmastala Rural Developmental Scheme (R) Puttur, Jana Jagrathi Vedike, Puttur, St.Philomena College P.U College, St.Philomena Higher Secondary School, Puttur organized a programme to create awareness among the students on 26-6-2015 at Silver Jubilee Memorial Hall,Puttur.

The inaugurator of the programme Rev Dr.Antony Prakah Monteiro, Campus Director said, “ Drug is a dangerous substance and misleads the youth of the country and the society should be cautious about drug abuse.”

The Resource Person of the programme Dr. Rajesh Bajangala, Lecturer, Puttur while addressing the gathering went in detail about the abuse of drug and the imminent result of that. He called upon the students to be cautious falling prey to drugs will destroy the family and the future of youngster.

Rev. Fr Vijay Lobo, Principal of St. Philomena College presided over the function. The Chief Guests of the function were Mr. Dambekana Sadashiva Rai , Mr. Dharnappa Mulya and Prof.Leo Noronha, Principal St. Philomena College.

Prof.Paul Herald Mascarehnas, Head of the department of Social Work welcomed the gathering. M. Mohini, Supervisor, SKRDP proposed the vote of thanks. Ms. Nancy Lavina Pinto, Lecturer, Department of Social Work compered the programme.
