Mangaluru, : "DK District in-charge Minister and State Minister for Forest B Ramanatha Rai is capable of even handling the chief minister’s post," said Ivan D’Souza, MLC and Chief Whip of State Legislative Council.

Ivan reacted sharply as above in response to a statement from BJP leader Jagadish Shettar on reports of Ramnatha Rai’s name doing the rounds for the home portfolio, "The Congress need not learn any lesson from the BJP. Minister Rai can handle any post. He is a secular man who can take along all communities. The BJP instead of poking its nose in the internal matters of the Congress should worry about its own problems," he said.

He said that as BJP do not have any topics to dicuss against state govenrnment, they are trying to interfere in Congress's internal matters.
