JCI organises mega blood donation camp

Mangaluru: On the occasion of blood donor day JCI Mangalore and Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India) Mangaluru Centre organised a mega blood donation camp at KMC Jyothi blood bank.

The camp was inaugurated by Anil Kumar, past national executive vice-president, JCI India by first donating the blood. As many as 72 donors donated blood which amounted to 91 units of blood.

A mega blood donation awareness bike rally from Bhatkal to Mangaluru coordinated by Sunil Bangera was concluded at the venue on the same day in the evening. Rakesh Kunjoor, zone president, Zone XV spoke about the importance of blood donation. Shyalaja Rao, president of JCI Mangaluru thanked everyone for donating blood voluntarily. Anil Sabastin, president, Association of Consulting Civil Engineers, Bhavani Shankar, blood bank manager, KMC Jyothi were present. Shwetha, secretary of JCI Mangalore rendered the vote of thanks. Members of JCI Mangalore and Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (India), Mangaluru Centre were present.
