JD(S) announces district president and candidate for Moodbidri constituency

Mangaluru: "As per the guidance of JD(S) national chief Deve Gowda and state chief H D Kumara Swamy, JD(S) has appointed B Mohammed Kunhi Vittal as the president of Dakshina Kannada JD(S) and presidents for JD(S) in all assembly constituencies of Dakshina Kannada. JD(S) presidents are: Vasantha Poojary, president for Mangaluru South, DP Hammabba for Mangaluru North, Mohandas Shetty for Mangaluru, B Mohan for Bantwal, IC Kailash for Puttur, Dayakar Alva Kumbra for Sullia and Praveen Chandra Jain for Belthangady (interim), " said Amarnath Shetty, vice president of Karnataka Pradesh Janatha Dal(S).

Shetty also announced the name of Ashwin J Pereira as the candidate for the 2018 assembly elections from Moodbidri constituency. He said that candidates will be revealed for all he constituencies in Dakshina Kannada soon.

The party is confident of putting a better show in upcoming assembly election
