JR Lobo files complaint against fake video of Congress workers chanting pro-Pakistan slogan

Mangaluru: A Congress delegation led by former MLA J R Lobo met City Police Commissioner Vipul Kumar on Monday and has submitted a complaint alleging that a video of the celebrations of Congress workers has been manipulated and posted on Facebook and WhatsApp .

The complaint has been filed by Samarth Bhat on behalf of the party workers. As per the complaint the Congress workers had raised slogans hailing the party while celebrating in the wake of the path cleared for the formation of the Congress-JD(S) coalition government in the state.

However the video of the same posted by one Roopesh Shet of Mangaluru on Facebook has been doctored wherein the slogan ’Congress ki jai’ has been changed as ’Pakistanakke Jai," the complaint alleged. Stating that the video was being circulated on WhatsApp the complainant has sought stern action.
