Jagadish Shettar says Congress won bypoll elections due to money

Udupi: Former Karnataka chief minister Jagadish Shettar was in Uudpi on Thursday. When asked regarding the bypoll elections, he accused Congress of bribing votersto secure victory in both Gundlupet and Nanjangud constituencies which went to by-poll on April 9.

"It is normal for the ruling party in the state to bag seats during assembly by-polls. At the same time, this result is not an indicator for the things to come in the next year's assembly election. BJP will surey nwin the next assembly elections under the leadership of Yeddyurappa," Shettar said.

He also visited Pejawar Swamiji and seeked his blessings.
