Mangaluru: Senior Congress leader B Janardhana Poojary has batted for Karnataka Police constables who have planned to go on mass leave on June 4 in support of their several demands including salary hike.

Poojary said that the Chief Minister must raise the salaries of police constables and pointed out how they were getting less salaries when compared to their counterparts in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh.

If the CM decides to hike the salaries of police personnel and do justice to them, then he will be remembered forever in the history of the state, Poojary said.
