Udupi: On the occasion of the 185th Birth Anniversary of Jyothi Savithri Bai Pule, Karnataka Dalitha Sangharsha Samithi (Ambedkar Vaada), Udupi district organized one day token protest at near Deputy Commissioner’s Office on Monday, 25th January, 2016.

KDSS along with other Dalith’s factions were protested, taking into consideration that all must get a common education without any partiality of caste, creed and religion. Dr. B. R. Ambedkar wanted to obtain education to all and introduced common Schooling systems with fair and free.

Government schools should not be closed and the standard of government school should be increased. The load on teachers should be lessened. The government should declare the policy of education. Kannada medium, private school English medium called policy should abolish. Government and private sector, there should be just one language policy to assert.

The government should control the private schools. The Government should announce the birthday of Jyothi Savithri Bai as government holiday.

The vacant teachers post of around 34,000 to be filled immediately. The appointment of temporary teachers and lecturers should be stopped and should appoint full time and permanent basis. The fees for the Dalith and backward communities should be paid directly to the institutions by the government and social development department. The action should be held to have the permission of Kannada Medium Schools who run English medium secretly should be punished.

The regime should get action on running illegal schools. In the government schools there should be one teacher for each course of study up to 4th standard compulsory.

S. Prasad,Sunder Gujjarbettu, Sunder Master and other among present.
