KSRTC bus kills pedestrain

Bantwal: A pedestrian lost his life in an accident after a Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus hit him near Kaikamba near B C Road on the evening of Monday October 10.

The deceased is Venkappa (65), a resident of Parlia Kodange. Venkappa was crossing the road near Corporation Bank when the KSRTC bus moving from Mangaluru to Puttur hit him. Venkappa, who sustained serious injuries to his head, was taken to the private hospital at Thumbay.

After providing initial treatment there, he was being taken to a hospital at Mangaluru, when he died. A case was registered and police have begun investigation.
