Karnataka Bank donates umbrellas to poor students.

Mangaluru: Karnataka Bank is committed to their Corporate Social Responsibility (CRP) by responding to the basic needs of the community in general and for the noble cause of the poor students studying in govt school said Sri. Srinivas Deshpande, Chief Manager, Karnataka Bank, Head Office, Public Relation Department. He was speaking as a chief guest on the “Free umbrella distribution to the students” organized by Rotary Club of Mangalore Central jointly with Shield Trust Mangaluru, which was held on 28.08.2015 at their school hall. He also appealed to the teaching faculty to impart quality education to the students so as to enable them achieve higher in their academics and to groom their future prospects. Later he distributed 125 umbrellas to the students. He advised the students not to abstain from the school for the need of umbrellas during monsoon. Further he complemented the Rotary for their invaluable community services and he assured that the bank will always support their charitable activities.

President of Rotary Club of Mangalore Central , Elias Sanctis in his presidential address revealed that their club is falling in line with Rotary International theme “Be a gift to the world “ and is engaged in community development oriented projects. Rotary past Dist. Governor Dr. Devadas Rai was the guest of honor, Rotary Zonal Lieutenant Rajgopal Rai, Secretary Prasad Shetty, P.R.O M.V. Mallya, Shield Trust President Dharmith Rai were present on this occasion.

Medimix company sponsored soaps for the students and Bhandarkar cottage sponsored sweets and biscuits. Earlier Head Mistress Mrs. Pavana welcomed, teacher Mrs. Cicilia proposed vote of thanks, teacher Mrs. Aruna compeered the progaramme.
