Kerala woman dies due to poisonous ant

An Indian woman died on Tuesday after being bitten by a poisonous ant in Riyadh. She was undergoing treatment, her relatives said. Her relatives got a message that she died in the early hours of Tuesday.

Soosy Jeffy, 36, who was from Adoor in Kerala, was reportedly bitten by the ant on March 19 at her residence and was undergoing treatment.

It has been found that a few ant species can inflict poisonous bites that can prove fatal for a full-grown adult. Her dead body is expected to be flown down soon.
