Konkani singer Leslie D’Cunha passes away

Mangaluru: Eminent Konkani singer Leslie D’Cunha who shot to fame during the early 80s has passed away due to cardiac arrest on October 18, Tuesday. He was 53 and is survived by his wife and two children.

Leslie was associated with Mandd Sobhann as its lead singer during the initial phase of his singing career. He was known for his song ’Ranga Tarang,’ `Paradela,’ ’Mandd Sobhann and ’Sudsude Revencher.’

He moved to Middle East to pursue a job and was not that active in the singing field. He had returned to his hometown and was into real estate business.
