Mangaluru: Laxmi Memoraial College of Nursing, in the city observed Swach Bharat Abhiyan – Ek Kadam Swachatha Ke Oar on December 5 at Kankanady market and near Wenlock Hospital.
Naveen D’Souza, co-operator, Kankanady, Madhu S Manohar environmental engineer, Corporation Mangaluru and Dr Larissa Martha Sams, principal of the college were present throughout the programme.
A street play was performed by the students of the college. Emphasis was laid on keeping the surroundings clean and people were encouraged to contribute towards Swach Bharath Abhiyan and keep the city clean.
