Let all mosques, temples, and churches promote communal harmony through social service

Udupi 12-March-2018: Let peace and brotherhood be prevailed by organizing social service camps in all masjids, temples, and churches and let it be open to all religions. While inaugurating the medical camp Akber Ali (Regional Convener, Jamaat-e-Islami Hind) stated that place of worship could help to heal both physical and mental diseases.

 

 

Humanitarian Relief Society (HRS), in collaboration with Udupi Zilla Shamiyana Samyojakara Okkutta and Kasturba Medical College, Manipal (KMC) conducted a free medical camp for testing Cardiology, Diabetes, and Eye related issues at Jamia Mosque, Udupi. This is the first time that such a mass level medical camp open to all religious community conducted at Jamia Mosque. More than 400 patients were treated free of charge by KMC team and HRS volunteers helped to set up the camp.

Mr. Naveen Ameen (District president, Shamiyana okkutta) has appreciated the efforts of HRS and assured to join in organizing such medical camp in nearby temples. Dr. Neetha (Department of Ophthalmology, KMC) expressed her happiness in serving the community and welcomed all to use the free service provided by KMC. Mohammed Marakada (State General Secretary, HRS), Sayed Yaseen (President, Jamiya Masjid Udupi), Mujeeb Sikander (Local businessman) were also present
