Lourdes Central School conducts healthy diet project

Mangaluru: The month of June was dedicated for healthy diet with the message 'Be active with healthy diet'.

Throughout the month teachers briefed the children about the importance of having healthy food. The charts on healthy diet were displayed on the school notice board and classrooms. Different songs on healthy diet were taught during the assembly.

The finale of the project was held on July 29 at the school auditorium. Dr Sujhatha Sake, the chief guest gave a small presentation on 'healthy food vs junk food', and also conducted a small quiz for the children.

Vice principal, Belita Mascarenhas was present during the programme. She explained the importance of having milk through a small hindi poem 'Doodh'. Project songs were sung by the children of classes KG 1 and 2. As part of the project a healthy breakfast was served to the children. The principal Fr Robert D’Souza is appreciated for his constant support and encouragement.
