Mangaluru: Mangalore Productivity Council (MCP) will organise a one day workshop 'Samvardhan' on GST, Income Tax, IPR, RERA and Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Amendments Act, 2016 at SDM college of Business Management, Kodialbail on May 27.

Addressing mediapersons at press club, CA SS Nayak, practicing chartered accountant said, "The motive of the workshop is to educate people who are unaware of GST. The seminar is meant to strengthen tax compliance in India by educating and creating awareness among businessmen, industrialists and professionals."

Eminent speakers have been called from Bengaluru to elaborate on topics. CA S S Nayak will be the resource person for Real Estate Regulatory Act And Benami Transactions (Prohibition) Amendments Act, 2016. CA Pavan Kumar R S, will be the resource person for GST. Harikrishna Holla, advocate and IPR consultant will be the resource person for Intellectual Property Rights. CA Sanketh S Nayak will be the resource person for Income Tax Restrictions on cash transactions.

There will be a registration fee of Rs.2000, which will include brunch, lunch, high tea and study materials will be provided.

The valedictory function will be presided over by Dr Shakir Hussain, IRS, commissioner Income Tax; S D Biradar, DGM, Canara Bank; Dr Devaraj K, director, SDM Management and G Muralidhar Shenoy, Canara Rebeco Mutual Fund.
