MP Shobha Karandlaje ignoring NH issue

Udupi: With protests escalating against the collection of toll on National Highway 66, Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP has approached the deity Manjunatha of Dharamasthala.

A WhatsApp group has targeted the MP for distancing herself from the National Highway 66 issues. As allegations poured in Shobha Karandlaje commented saying “I have offered your allegations to Lord Manjunatha and he will answer to it”. The comment has drawn flak in the social media saying that the MP is following the path of her senior leaders.

The toll collection is a burning issue in the district. People are criticising the MP for quoting Lord Manjunatha, saying that she is fooling the voters. The people across the district are widely criticising the MP and are demanding answers to the NH issues troubling the people.

While the Congress party has come out with severe ire on the MP, surprisingly BJP members have also expressed their discontent over the MP’s minimum role in addressing the NH issue.
