MPL-2016 - Player Auction at Forum Fiza Mall on 7th October

Mangaluru: Eagerly awaited player auction of Al muzain whitestone Mangalore Premier League cricket Tournament organized by the Karnataka Regional Cricket Academy will be held on 07th October at II Floor of Forum Fiza Mall. The auction process will be held in a professional way like IPL player auction. The list of players of Icon, A, B, C category were finalized and already sent to the twelve team owners to feasible them to analyze the players, make strategic plan.

 

The third version of Mangalore Premier League will be held from 17th to 31st December 2016 at B.R.Ambedkar Cricket Stadium, NMPT, Mangalore. This Mega event will be held in association with Realtech Company and Mangalore Occasionals and with the approval and guidance of Karnataka State Cricket Association.

In the auction every team has the purse of Rs.250000.00 to purchase the players in the bidding. Every team should have minimum 16 and maximum 21 players.

The auction will be held at II floor of Forum Fiza mall, Pandeshwar, Mangalore from 2.30 p.m. It may continue till 9 p.m. The organizers have made arrangements for the live telecast of the auction process through V4 news and Namma Kudla TV channels. The organisers also made provision for live through www.facebook/famecrick and www.famecrick.com .

The organizers have invited the VVIPs, players, Cricket lovers and all to attend the auction event.

The 12 teams will take part in the tournament are: Surathkal Strikers, Coastal Digest Mangalore, United Ullal, Udupi Tigers, Karavali Warriers Panambur, President Sixers Kundapur, Kankanadi Knight Riders, Team Elegant Moodabidri, Red Hawks Kudla, Karkala Gladiators,, Spark Avengers Bolar, Maestro Titans Central Mangalore.

The organizers have already made agreements with the 34 icon players who were selected based on the performance shown in the recently concluded KPL tournament. These icon players are from all over the places of Karnataka. It is mandatory to the teams to choose 2 icon players. There is a provision given to the owners to nominate one owner’s choice player which was already finalized by the owners. There is a list of 60 A category players. Every team has to choose 5 players from this category. Every team has to select minimum 2 and Maximum 3 players from B category. There is a provision to select 10 players from C category. The players listed in A B C category who are the players of Mangalore Zone only. The owner’s choice players are:

Pavan Deshpande, Sayed Kirmani, Arjun Hoysala, AbbAs, Gautham K, Taha, Rohan Kadam, Bharath, Dube, Anirudd Joshi, Naveen M.G., Kishore Kamath, Shivil, Siddartha

There is a provision to select one owner choice player for the owners. Accordingly the teams have selected following players as owners choice player:

Nishithraj, Karthik C A, K C Cariappa, Nithin Mulki, Mohammed Yasir, Sandeep Bhandari, Akshay Ballal, Asif Mohammed, Sadiq, Bharath Duri, Nihal Ullal, Adithya Somanna.
