Mangaluru: Madipu, the Tulu film which won National Award and State Award will be released again on May 19. The film was released in March earlier this year. However as the film did not get desired screens, it was removed.

However with the film being called as pride of Tulunadu now after bagging awards, it is expected to release in more screens and attract more occupancy. The film has been been directed by Chetan Mundadi and showcases Tulunadu culture of Bhootha Kola.

The film was earlier shown in Panorama film festival in Goa. It was selected for screening in an International film festival in Bengaluru and Mysuru.
