Mahesh P U College holds lecture on stress management

Mangaluru: Mahesh Pre University College hosted a stress management lecture, on campus, on Wednesday, July 26.

“Parents, guardians and educational institutes increasingly exert pressure on students for excelling in studies. It burdens the teachers and students alike causing stress,” said E V Swaminathan, of Prajapitha Brahmakumarees Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya.

“For intelligence, interest in work and love to grow, students must not get subject to stress. It is normal for everybody to become a victim of mental stress due to modernity and a massive progress in the scientific field. The breeze of modernity is blowing continuously towards the education sector. As the system of education changes swiftly, is appears more competitive than any other fields. The mental tension can be reduced by Yoga and meditation,” he said.

College principal Dr Naven Shetty presided and explained the purpose of the programme. Physics lecturer in the college, Yashaswini K compered the programme. Management officer professor Anil Mascarenhas welcomed the gatherin. Professor Shamitha Shetty proposed the vote of thanks.
