Mahesh PU College holds 'Substance Abuse and de-addiction' programme

Mangaluru: Mahesh PU College, Mangaluru in association with 'Mission Hope' of K S Hegde Medical Academy conducted an awareness programme on 'Substance Abuse and de-addiction' on July 20.

Dr Santhosh Prabhu, senior consultant, Department of Psychiatry of K S Hegde Medical Academy and his team conducted the programme. The programme created an awareness to the students regarding the risks involved in substance abuse like health hazards, depression etc., through skits and powerpoint presentation. It was followed by an interactive session with the students.

The Principal, Dr Ajith D’Souza, Administrator Mr Anil Mascarenhas, Academic head Mr Hariprasad were present on the occasion. The programme was compered by Shamitha Shetty, Lecturer in Computer science.
