Kundapur: A 40-year-old man collapsed in his field because of unbearable summer heat and breathed his last on Friday. Vasantha Shetty from Amparu is the person deceased.

Vasantha Shetty ran a bakery in Bengaluru and also came home regularly in Amparu to look after his agriculture. On Friday, while he was busy working in his filed, he collapsed suddenly due to scorching sun. Two other workers, who worked at the field, rushed him immediately to hospital and the duty doctor said Vasantha Shetty had already breathed his last.

The temperature variation between Bengaluru and Kundapur could have been a factor in the death.
