Published On : 07 Dec 2015   |  Reported By : Victor Mathias

Mangaluru: Mandd Sobhann completed 14 years of presenting the ‘Mho’ynyalli Manchi’ Series, with the presentation of the 168th Monthly Theatre – ‘Sunnem Mazo’r Hasta’, a play by Kalakul, written by Amar Chafra D’Costa. Mandd Sobhann has been presenting the best of Konkani programmes – music, dance, theatre and folk performances, on the first Sunday of every month, without a break.

The 168th Monthly Theatre of Mandd Sobhann was witnessed by a house-full audience. Kalakul added Yakshagana in its presentation of the play, which is an innovation in Konkani Theatre. Christopher D’Souza Neenasam directed the play and V. S. Gurumoorthy provided music to the play.

The hard efforts put in by Kalakul, in presenting the literarily rich play of Amar Chafra along with the essence of Yakshagana, were applauded by the theatre and Konkani lovers whose attention the actors captured through their outstanding performance.
