Mangala Nayak wins 1st prize in National Level Postal Stamp design Competition

Mangaluru: U Mangala Nayak, student of II year, Computer Science from Canara Engineering College Benjanapadvu has won the 1st prize in a National Level Postal Stamp design Competition on the theme "VIBRANT INDIA".

This Competition was organized by Ministry of Communication & IT, Department of Posts to select a design for a commemorative postage stamp on the occasion of Republic Day, 2016.

Mangala Nayak has bagged the first prize with a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- out of a huge response of over 5000 entries.

The daughter of Mr. U.Gopinath Nayak & Mrs. Anitha Nayak, residents of Car Street Mangaluru, Mangala Nayak a budding artist has won several painting competitions earlier but this has surely added a feather to her cap.

The Management, Principal, Faculty, Staff and students of Canara Engineering College proudly congratulate her and wish her many more laurels.
