Moodbidri: Meghanad Shetty has tendered his resignation from the post of president of the local block Congress committee. This has shocked and surprised the party workers.
Shetty said, "I have been involved with building the party and strengthening its organizational structure in the region since the
last two decades. My contribution to the party and my opinions have been successively overlooked. Party leaders have shown utter disregard to my justified demands."
Shetty also said that he has written to Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee president, giving reasons for resigning from the post. He
however clarified that he will continue to be a sincere and loyal activist of Congress party.
