Milagres College Kallianpur's gym Pavilion inaugurated

Udupi: “There are copious opportunities ahead for students who excel in sports, so make use of the benefits provided by the government," said minister for fisheries and sports and youth empowerment, Pramod Madhwaraj.

On the occasion, Ramous D’Souza, entrepreneur and donor of Rs 2 lac from Mumbai, inaugurated the renovated gymnasium. The Bishop of Udupi Diocese Dr Gerald Isac Lobo blessed the newly inaugurated Pavilion.

Abhin Devadiga, Rohan Kotian and Mohammed Shaad of Milagres institutions were felicitated for their outstanding achievements at state and national level sports.

Savitha Kumari, principal, Milagres PU College, Fr Dr Prakash Anil Castelino, campus minister, Dr Nery Cornelio and Dr Gerald Pinto, former principals of the college, Udaya Kumar Shetty, president of PTA and Salvadore Noronha, president of alumni association, were the chief guests.

Fr Stany B Lobo, correspondent, Milagres group of institutions welcomed the gathering. Dr Vincent Alva, the principal, proposed the vote of thanks. Prof Joseph Peter Fernandes compered the programme.

The colourful march past of the students graced the annual sports meet.
