Udupi: Annual Sports meet 2015/16 of Milagres English Medium School, Kallianpur was held fantastically with enthusiasm at Milagres grounds on 15th and 16th October, 2015. Two days annual sports meet inaugurated by chief guest Gregory D’ Silva Rtd. Physical Education  Director, SMS P.U. College Brahmavar.

The guests of the day were warmly welcomed through melodious brass band of the school to the stage of guard of honour which had been prepared for the purpose. Very Rev. Fr. Stany B. Lobo along with the guests witnessed and took the guard of honour from athletes. Wow wonderful, disciplined, colouful, fantastic  that was the spot of the grand march which was witnessed by Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo, Correspondent of Milagres Educational Institutions, Gregory D’ Silva, Mrs Lilly Lewis and Mrs. Olympia D’Souza PTA Presidents, Anitha Dias and Sudhir Lewis PTA Vice Presidents along with Rev Fr. Mahesh D’Souza, Principal and Veera D’Silva, Headmistress of Primary section.

After the grand wonderful march of the athletes, Very Rev Fr. Stany B. Lobo hoisted the school sports flag and later the Olympics torch fire brought from district, state level athletes lit by the guests.

The two days annual sports meet inaugurated by letting out colourful balloons in the air and declared open by the chief guest, Gregory D’ Silva who is the Alumni of Milagres Institution and himself Physical Director of the SMS PU College, Brahmavar.

Speaking in his address on the occasion, he said that it will be a great pride and privilege for him to be on this ground where he played during his college days. It was wonderful to witness the guard of honour by the great athletes of the school. He appreciated the disciplined well trained march past. When we see the history of the Milagres English Medium School specially the sports had done remarkably not only in the state level but national level also which will be great and appreciated. Milagres English Medium school having excellent record of the vast development and the excellent standard in all fields. He is very much proud that he was one of the student of the Milagres Institution.

Rev Fr. Mahesh D’Souza, Principal of Milagres English Medium Schools welcomed the gathering. Veera D’Silva delivered the vote of thanks.
