Milagres High School celebrates Annual School Day

Udupi: The Annual School Day of the Milagres High School, Kallianpur near here was held on Friday, 19th December, 2014.  In the morning, the school flag was hoisted by Mathew Martis of Kallianpur and Smt. Devaki, Retd teacher was the chief guest.

In the evening after 5 p.m. “Kushalava” yakshagana was played by the school students. Followed by this a stage program was held, which Very Rev. Fr. Stany B. Lobo Correspondent of the Milagres Institutions presided. Dr. Mamatha Balachandra, alumni and Associate Professor at MIT., Manipal, Dr. Preethi Karthikeyan BE, MS, Phd., Walter Cyril Pinto vice President of Milagres Cathedral parish pastoral council were the chief guests.

Both Dr. Mamatha and Dr. Preethi recapped their days in Milagres High School and said that this school is surely responsible to the success in their life. Walter Cyril Pinto lauded the old students of Milagres High School for their success in life.

Paul Lobo, Headmaster of the school was also present on the dais and presented the annual school report. Prizes were distributed to meritorious students both in academic and sports.

Various cultural programs were held by the school students. A large number of audiences were present and enjoyed the dances, Yakshagana and other cultural programs.
