Modernization plan to be implemented at Mangaluru Airport

Mangaluru: Modernization plan worth Rs 18 crore is being implemented at Mangaluru Airport to provide ultra modern services for flights.

This was announced by Director of the international airport J T Radhakrishna. Under this scheme, flight service equipment including the ones relating to safety aspects, would be implemented by March next year.

"High frequency omni directional radio range, monopulse secondary surveillance radar, and instrument landing system would be replaced with modern equipment towards achieving this objective," he added.
